This was my "on the go" machine for the past couple of months until it decided to give me a Blink Of Death - quite unusual for X3x series - this past Tuesday, without any prior warning signs.

Therefore, it is being sold strictly a parts/project unit, no warranty, no returns, no "but I thought this, that or the other thing" of any kind...

Expect the worst...and you just might fare better than that.

Original description: P M 745(1.8GHz), 512MB RAM, 40GB 5400rpm HDD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, 16MB ATI Radeon, Intel 802.11bg wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), Secure Chip, IEEE 1394, 6 cell Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro

You shall be receiving a bare shell: no HD, no RAM, no wireless card, no AC adapter and no battery.

Known imperfections and good points:

- The lid has average wear, as does the (Thai) keyboard. Some shine, no worn letters, great to type on. An almost mint palmrest/bezel.
- The LCD has two light pressure marks/rub spots visible mostly on very light backgrounds.
- One of the latching points for the Ultrabase has a piece of plastic missing, the other one still holds well.

Asking $55 shipped within U.S. or $40 + shipping at cost almost anywhere else.

the batteries:

a) Standard X3x battery, in green, holds 75% or so charge, $20 + shipping

b) Extended life ("base") battery, FRU 02K7043, in green, holds 65-70% charge, $20 + shipping

I also have a X3 Ultrabase docking station in very good condition with DVD-ROM installed, $20 + shipping.

Should you have a difficult time parting with cash, I'm interested in trading any/all of these items for PC2-4200/5300 1GB laptop DIMMs, PATA/IDE laptop drives, T4x DVD RW Multiburners...
