Looking for a right speaker grill/cover/faceplate for a 770. I bought this unit for parts/screws etc. being told it was *fried* but decided to fix it up instead and fit in with my 760XL and 600X. Down to this last cosmetic issue... It's the 9549-1AU with 14.1" screen but I think the speaker grills are the same as the 13.3" models. Thanks.

speaker grills are NOT the same..
in fact, the speakers in each (13 and 14) are different assemblies that slide out..

i'm not sure but i think i have a 14 inch case with some parts and a 13 inch case as well..

Thanks for the info, should help find the correct part. I know the speaker assemblies are different between the 13.3" and 14.1" models from the Hardware Maintenence Manual but the speaker grills are part of the base. I assumed they were the same based on photos.

unlikely since the front edge is different between the 13 and 14 inch models..
and the grill part is just holes in the whole bottom molding..
so, threr really IS no grill, per se..

What model exactly 770 is you have ? I have two 770E/ED cases & various parts (including speakers and the grills) so I may have what your looking for but would want to verify its for the correct model.

Woops, I see now you said the model # in the first post.

Anyway, I think I have the part(s) you need, I have the front grill and/or entire bottom and speakers if you need them, from a 14.1 770 (I have 2 in fact). Send me a private message to exchange emails and I'm sure we can work something out.
