SOLD!!!

i'm listing for sale my X61sxga+ system.   while it has served me well since i built it, i simply do not use it anymore.   it would be better served in the hands of someone who would enjoy it and put it to good use.

- ThinkPad X61s 7666-B7U (RF4 refurbished unit)
- SXGA+ AFFS display (no dead/stuck pixels and very bright backlight)
- my LVDS jumper harness
- "X61SXGA+" BIOS with the latest revision (dated 6/25/2010)
- SATA II unlocked plus no-1802 and no-1804 mods
- L7700 1.8GHz core 2 duo processor
- latest version heatsink assembly with lightweight GFRP housing and "silent owl" fan blades
- 4-cell slim prismatic battery (good condition, holds 75% original charge)
- 4GB DDR2-667 memory (crucial/micron brand)
- 100GB 7200RPM hitachi HDD (original to the system)
- MIMO wireless antennas (gray/white/black)
- intel 5300 ABGN wireless adapter
- bluetooth 2.0 module (fully functional with on-screen display)
- UPEK fingerprint reader
- modem removed and socket hole blocked off (original modem included)
- X60 speaker assembly (much louder and better sounding than X61 speaker)
- soft-touch palmrest from the 15th anniversary X61s
- ThinkPad Reserve Edition palmrest decal
- US layout NMB keyboard (red/blue TrackPoint keys shown are not included)
- ThinkLight (fully functional with on-screen display)
- recovery media (vista professional x86)
- X6 ultrabase with CDRW/DVD-ROM
- a/c adapter

of all the X61/X61s SXGA+ systems i've built, this one has absolutely perfect construction with display lined up and secured properly.   while i'd like to think i did a great job on all of them, i did an even better job on this one.   you will not find an X6x SXGA+ system built better than this.

i will take new photos as time allows.   the photos in the blog aren't all up to date.

this unit still has warranty until 2011-08-22, however, none of the modifications will be covered.   the system planar might be covered in the event of a failure but i cannot guarantee this.   for all intents and purposes it's safe to assume the warranty will only cover the hard drive, keyboard, and a/c adapter.   also, even though i am confident in this system's build, i cannot personally warranty any of the mods due to unknown drops, spills, or other damage or abuse caused by the new owner.   it has worked flawlessly for nearly two years in my possession.

i'm asking (SOLD!!!) shipped within the US.   i will sell outside of the US at buyer's expense.   payment via postal money orders or bank-issued cashier's check preferred.   paypal is accepted but will not include free shipping.

Great machine! I never thought I'd see you let this one go.

It was the motivating inspiration behind me bothering to build my flexview x200s and qxga T60p Frankenpad - but then I dare say it was also inspiring to many other people too.

I'm sure it'll go to a good home.
