WTB: T6x SATA Hard Drive Metal carrier and rubber rails
WTB: T6x SATA Hard Drive Metal carrier and rubber rails
I would like to buy the metal carrier that screws to a SATA Hard Drive (T61p hard drive). The carrier will have a rather long black tab that folds over the drive when inserted in the drive bay. The drive / carrier assembly requires 2 rubber rails to attach to the drive assembly, all of which is inserted in the drive bay.
I am really interested in the carrier and less interested in the rails, but will certainly consider a package.
Please let me know either by posting here or by sending me a PM. I live in Canada but that is no impediment of any kind to shipping. I can pay by credit card if you have a web site or send a US Dollar (or other currency) money order prior to you shipping. If you have never heard of money orders (bank drafts) they are cash documents.
Thanks, ... JDH

Re: WTB: T6x SATA Hard Drive Metal carrier and rubber rails
You can use the caddy from any T4x/R5x/T6x model.
The T6x models have an extra 'lip' to pull the caddy out easier, but you could use e.g. duct tape to make it yourself.
The HD cover comes in 14" and 15" sizes, you need to specify which one.
You get the whole set (caddy/rails/cover) for a few dollars on eBay, e.g. http://cgi.ebay.com/Hard-Drive-Caddy-Co ... 0426124972

Thanks RBL -- I ordered 3 complete sets. At $1 each plus modest shipping, I don't think I can go wrong.

The packages came today. Carrier, rails and 5 screws (need 4). I put them on a drive and they are fine. A steal for one dollar each kit. I got 3 kits.
The ebay link is for ejoytunes and I gave them (him / her) perfect feedback.
