SXGA+ X60T Tablets on eBay - $380 to $419

#1 Post by JBuzzard » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:52 pm

There is a seller (pbssystems ) on eBay with three auctions for X60T tablets with the high res screens. The auction description says XGA but the model numbers listed (6363-A7U and 6363-2AU) are for the SXGA+ screen and I checked with the seller and confirmed it - but you should check with them as well via the eBay email system if you're going to buy one of these just to be safe. They have Ultrabases with a CDRW/DVD drive, 2GB RAM, and a 80GB hard drive.

They currently have 5 of the 1.83Ghz A7U models at $419 with free shipping:

And also two auctions of 2 available each for the 1.66 GHz 2AU models at $379.99 with free shipping:

No relation to the seller just saw these, was just going to order one (a 2AU to join the three SXGA+ tablets I already have), and decided to share the wealth as these usually sell for much more.
W520 4276-37U, W520 4282-A61, and X61T 7769-A67 ThinkPads; D20 4155-CTO ThinkStations; plus lots of ThinkCentres

Thanks for posting this link. I have been looking for an X60 SXGA+ unit for a while and was delighted to find this heads-up.

After some back and forth with the seller, just as I was about the trigger and buy one of these, I found a local machine with Ultrabase that was still under warranty for just about $40 US more and picked it up last week. And as luck would have it, the unit was in pristine shape - I would even say that it had never been used.

Can't believe I waited that long to get an SXGA+, the difference in screen quality and area is astounding - at this point in time, having owned and used newer machines (until this August, I was using a T400), I think that I am more prepared to live with this laptop for the next 3 years or more.

For anyone who may want to get a used X60 tablet (but with the lower XGA resolution, the unit this replaced is still available as a more than decent price.
