Want: ThinkPad R40 Recovery CDs (Found)

Hi,
I really don't want to pay for them, as I don't need them. Just if anyone has them laying around and is willing to share. Or even if someone could copy them, or upload the ISO files somewhere.

BTW, your best bet would be to use T42 recovery media since you have a PM CPU on that R40, since that would save you A LOT of updating...

Kind of out of options at this point, so I might just PM you.

Why is it that I should use t42 media on an R40? What updating would I have to do otherwise? Is it to do with my cpu being a P-M instead of a P4?

Recovery media for R40 are early SP1...T42 are SP2 with a lot more useful utilities...at least in my opinion.

Just PM'd you. So you are saying the t42 CDs would be the ones? Do you have those as well?
