I have a Compaq TC1000 Tablet PC in good working condition. It has a 20GB Hard Drive, a Wi-Fi card, a third party (but compatible) pen, and 768MB RAM. It does not come with a power supply, but is compatible with the ones from the pre-lenovo thinkpads (the smaller barrel plug). It has a COA for Windows XP Tablet Edition on the bottom.

Asking for $75 shipped in the US. Pictures available on request.

Is its special keyboard included? Does the pen have the side button? What is the battery condition?

No keyboard. Pen does have the button. The battery lasts a good 2-3 hours.

Not to TC (pun not intended!), but I'm fairly certain the TC1000 uses the same 18.5V adapter as my TC1100. Are you sure the older 16V IBM adapters are compatible?

For anyone that's not acquainted with the TC1000 and TC1100 series, these are convertable slates. The keyboard can be fully detached from the machine. Basically looks like a big iPad. It's a bit heavier and runs hotter than an iPad of course. At the same time, its a full-fledged computer. There's also an optional docking station with additional ports and an optical bay. All in all, these were well designed, unique machines!

Yep, that's what I've been using. Most of the time laptops tend to regulate it down anyway.

Furthermore, the keyboard unit has a Trackpoint, but no offending Touchpad or obnoxious palmrest. The keyboard allows for mounting the slate in either Portrait or Landscape view.

The only downside is the Transmeta CPU, which is a bit of a turd.

Definitely a unique machine, reminiscent of the original Compaq engineering we used to know.
Still waiting for Lenovo to catch up and sell us Intel slates.

I found a keyboard for it on eBay. Completed listings ended for over $32 total cost (shipped USA). Bibin, what ever happened to the original keyboard?

I never had it! My friend gave this thing to me. He had been using it to read music paper and place on a piano so he could have music PDFs on it, but he recently got an iPad for this purpose and didn't want this any more.
