FS: Near Mint T41 w/ R51 mobo 60GB/1.7GHz/2GB/BG/BT/$200

Cleaning out my collection, and I am ready to part with the T41wR51mobo in my signature, which I purchased last September from an excellent Forum Member. This wonderful ThinkPad has sat on my family room desk for the entire time I have owned it, being used occasionally for email, net surfing and youtube watching ( okay, I obviously have a boring life...) Although it has not been my main ThinkPad (that would be my X200) it is a typically awesome T4x, which I have enjoyed using, as has my 86-year old mom who has enjoyed playing solitaire on it most days. She has 'graduated' to my X301 in our TV room, and this trusty T42/R51 has been gathering dust for several months -- time to move it out -- Below is the Marketplace post from my original purchase last September. Asking Price is $200, including shipping. which reflects machine is one year older, although there has been no change cosmetically or performance-wise, with the exception of RAM Upgrade to 2 GB. I have also added, and this machine will come with legally installed and activated MS Office 2007 Home & Student, as well as MS Office Outlook 2007, along with individual product keys for each. I prefer PayPal, and will ship USPS Priority 2/3-day insured CONUS.

The LCD is very bright and has no dead pixels/scratches/hot spots. The plastics, palmrest, keyboard and case are near mint with only slight evidence of wear. The battery is from a T43 and is in excellent condition, see statistics below. I've upgraded the CPU, memory and hard drive. The hard drive is a 60GB 7200rpm Hitachi. This machine is fast, cool and quiet.
This is an awesome, reliable T4x machine and one that IBM/Lenovo should have offered to the public. (I built two and am still using the other.)

Since I custom built this machine myself, I can comfortably say this is a beautiful machine and only one of two built (of course, other forum members have built them, too). I still have the other identical one at home that I use upon occasion. Additionally, since the memory and hard drive are probably worth over $100 alone, I'd say the price is outstanding.

Thanks very much underclocker for the reference -- this is a wonderful machine, and I remember how excited I was when I saw your original Marketplace post -- This machine did not dissappoint, but I am currently in my 'Spring Cleaning' mode and want to find this guy a good home yeah, I know it's not spring -- I'm always running behind
