And no, I'm NOT kidding...read on...

Apart from being the highest-end base configuration of the T42/p generation - and maxed out in all respects afterwards - this particular ThinkPad offers a downright amazing example of ID Tech UXGA FlexView LCD in its full glory. I'm talking about a screen that has zero shadowing in the lower corners, exemplary brightness and is obviously free of any other defects you could possibly think of.
I've seen thousands of IPS and AFFS LCDs, and out of all of them, this one ranks as # 3. The other two machines housing LCDs # 1 and # 2 on my list are NOT for sale - the first one is owned by a fellow forum member, and the second one I'm typing on right now. So, with that being said, this is likely the best IPS screen that will hit the market anytime soon.
The rest of the machine is not shabby either, showing normal wear on the lid and some keyboard/palmrest shine, used but not abused. Definitely a very presentable example of its breed.
You can most certainly buy a cheaper T42p - even from me - but you'll have one heck of a time finding an example with matching specs and a screen like this. This is the cat's meow. Period.
Asking $300 firm plus shipping at cost to most locations worldwide. PayPal users will be expected to add the appropriate fee amount.
While the price is NOT negotiable, I might consider requests to take out the hard drive, RAM and/or media drive if you don't need them and adjust the price accordingly.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.

It's got to be a gem for you to be so keen on it. You know your flexviews. I am looking for SXGA Flexview with a 7200RPM drive. Got any?
With my eyes, I can't see the smaller UXGA.
