I hate the idea of parting with this one, but the fact of the matter is that it's sitting under the bed and hasn't been turned on in a month...at least. A tall-standing proof of IBM's outstanding - as well as outlandish - engineering and design deserves better than that...

the basics:

TransNote 2675-61U:

Original description: PIII 600MHz (256KB), 64MB RAM, 10.0 GB HDD, 10.4 SVGA(800 x 600) TFT LCD, Combo, Li-Ion battery, Win2000, Right-handed

This one is dead stock, apart from RAM being upgraded to 320MB. Hard disk drive still holds the original W2K preload and recovery partition, with all the little extras specific for this model.

The unit is in mint condition. The only way you'll find a better-looking example would be to locate one that was never taken out of the box. The pad is there, as is the pen, all nine yards. The battery shows 8 cycles, green condition and is supposedly good (according to the Power Manager) for 2+ hours...I've never really had it running on battery anywhere near that amount of time though, so take these specs with a huge grain of salt...this machine is a decade old, and this is the original battery...it may be good for two hours indeed, or for 22 seconds...

One and only less-than-positive thing that I have to state is that the CMOS battery is dead. I have absolutely no time - or patience - to replace it.

I'd like it to go to someone who'll actually use it, and appreciate it. That's why I refuse to throw it on feebay.

My mind is set on $200 + actual shipping cost. Might also trade it up/down/partially for something I need. I shall not consider any offers lower than this, please don't even bother submitting them. I'm not annoyed by this machine, quite the opposite. I feel guilty for not using it, and that's the only reason I'm posting this ad here.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
