the basics:
ThinkPad X40 2372-CU1
Original description: Based on 2372-8EU:
P M 1.2GHz LV,
512MB RAM................now 1GB (512MB onboard + 512MB DIMM)
40GB 4200rpm HDD..............now Samsung 32GB SLC SSD (ZIF 1.8" + adapter)
12.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD
Intel Extreme
IBM 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI)
Modem(CDC)
1Gb Ethernet(LOM)
Secure Chip
8 cell Li-Ion battery
WinXP Pro.....................COA intact, no OS installed
No AC adapter
known imperfections:
- Wear on the lid/bottom, slightly above average (no cracks), keyboard and palmrest shiny, no worn letters.
- A couple of "standard equipment" light pressure marks on the LCD
- Missing the serial number sticker from the bottom, but all numbers are visible and unaltered in BIOS
All of the above issues nonwithstanding, this baby feels extremely snappy and is a joy to use. The difference in overall feel between standard hard drive and SSD is absolutely stunning and I notice it a lot more than I ever have with my (since sold) X60s...
Asking $149 firm shipped within U.S. or $135 + shipping at cost to most locations worldwide.
While I may entertain offers for the machine with no drive installed, I will NOT sell the SSD separately before the laptop itself is sold.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
