As title,
I have my 6 month old X201 to sell. It has a few knocks on the top left of the casing on the outside of the lid, I will provide some links to pics later when I get home.
It is a CTO with i5-540m CPU, and was originally specced with 1x2GB RAM and now has 2x2GB RAM installed. I also upgraded the HD at time of order to the 320GB 7200RPM model, and it sports the webcam in the bezel, Gobi 2000 GPS + WWAN card, and the Intel 6200 WLAN card. I also upgraded it to the 5 card media slot and modem. It also has the optional touchpad, but NOT the fingerprint reader. I also upgraded the battery to the new 9 cell at time of purchase, PLUS it also comes with another X200 9 cell battery which I purchased from new 6 months ago, and also another one of the new 6 cell batteries.
I also have a zeroshock iii case which fits the X201 when fitted with 9 cell battery quite well. In addition, I have a spare 90W charger in addition to the normal 65W model.
Finally, I have all original packing material, box, bill of sale etc. I have also photocopied the bottom of the laptop as for some reason Lenovo have decided to go back to bare paper Windows authenticity stickers, where the writing has come off as it has been actually used on a lap, as opposed to a desk. The license is for Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, but I am going to try and find some disks for the original OS and put that back on as unfortunately I overwrote the recovery partition in my eagerness to put Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit onto it for work. If the buyer is happy with a blank laptop, that would make my life a LOT easier!!
The only problems I have had with it were the sound issue when it first came out which was fixed in software. The latest drivers are excellent!
I have just specced this up on the UK Lenovo site and it comes to £1345 new, without the 2 extra batteries, case, and extra charger. This machine is a road warrior BEAST, you can be away from socket using all 3 batteries for a total of around 15-16 hours using wifi and level 4 brightness, probably an hour or so less using the WWAN card, although i've never measured this.
Please make your offers to me by PM and if you have any questions, fire away publicly....
Thanks, Sean
P.S. I know I am new here (although I am sure I had an account here before but cannot find it!), but I have excellent feedback on Ebay and AVForums (a UK Audio/Visual hardware forum)
