T21 For Sale – Needs screen repair (backlight?) & potentially some parts

Hi all, I have a T21 for sale. Fairly clean condition, a few marks etc as expected. The big issue with this machine is that I believe the backlight has gone or the connection is very intermittent. When powered on you can just see the screen if you’re in very bright light and in previous years if I moved the screen enough I could get it to display correctly, I couldn’t achieve that when testing today. You can use it via an external monitor via VGA.

* Type: 2647-81G
* Pentium III, 700 MHZ
* 256MB RAM (2 x 128MB)
* Keyboard: UK (“nipple” on it has come from an X41)
* COA: Windows 2000 OEM
* BIOS: 1.16
* Embedded Controller: 1.03
* CMOS Battery is good, no prompts to input the date/time.

What’s missing or not included?

I imagine this might be wanted for some of its parts as spare/donor. To keep cost and weight/postage down I was looking to sell it without some of the following, a few of which I have marked I can provide (with a new quote) if requested…

• No battery – Can be included for extra cost if wanted.
• No hard drive – Can be included for extra cost if wanted.
• No power adaptor & cable - Can be included for extra cost if wanted.
• No CD/DVD drive
• No screw for HDD cover – Don’t have one, but have never found this an issue myself.
• No PCMCIA LAN Adaptor – Someone may be able to correct me here, but I believe this machine does not include the LAN card inside or is not connected (but there is a physical LAN connection on the back – see photos)? Might have been me missing something, but anyway I’d previously used a separate PCMCIA LAN card which I do not have to include.
• Misc – Inbetween the two latches that are used to release the screen there is a rubber cover missing, you can see this in the photos.

Price and Postage

I’d be looking for £25 plus postage of £10 in the UK. If you’re outside the UK and interested please let me know and I’ll get a price.
In the UK I’d prefer a bank transfer to avoid PayPal fees. Outside of the UK, or if it’s really the buyers preference in the UK, I will accept PayPal.
