SOLD: T60p 2007-C8U UXGA 100GB HDD 1 GB RAM

This is a used T60p in nice condition, although certainly not pristine. It has its share of light scuff marks on the LCD lid, but the plastics are all intact with no broken or missing pieces. The unit is equipped with a T2600, 2.16GHz Core Duo CPU, 100GB Fujitsu 7200RPM HDD, 1GB RAM, stock DVD/CD read/write combo player, and fingerprint reader. The unit also comes with a six cell battery that holds a charge, but no guarantee on the run time.

Several items of note:
1) The UXGA Flexview screen is clear and bright, but it does have a few dark spots on the screen. They do not seem to be either dead or stuck pixels. Perhaps there is dirt or debris in the screen? I don't know. They do not affect the use of the screen.
2) Windows XP Pro has been installed from the Rescue and Recovery disks. Therefore, the hard drive has a service partition which will allow you to re-install Windows, if you ever need to. Windows and the IBM/Lenovo Thinkvantage software have all been fully updated, as of about a week ago.
3) I bought this for my son, who used it at college for about a year. The previous owners were heavy smokers. I cleaned it the best I could, but there is still a slight cigarette odor.
4) The laptop overheated occasionally, so I cleaned the cooling fan and replaced its thermal cooling pad with a bronze spacer. The spacer conducts heat from the GPU about 100X better than the thermal cooling pad, with the result that the laptop runs perfectly with no overheating, even under stress.

This a great deal on a T60p. One of the few Thinkpads with IPS display at 1600x1200.

Unfortunately my low offer on ebay, but yet much higher price, on a TP got accepted. Ebay offers are binding, else I would have gotten this.
