WTB: Thinkpad Factory Restore Discs
WTB: Thinkpad Factory Restore Discs
hi all. i am setting up a repair shop in Nottingham, UK specialising in Thinkpad repairs and used Thinkpad sales. it would be quicker and easier to retore rather than start from scratch every time! i am not interested in recovery discs made on your own machine!
i already have R32, R50, R51, R52, R61e, T23 (W2K), T30, T40, T41, T42, T43, T60 (XP and 7).
i am interested in buying any discs not listed above. i have a verified Premier Paypal account with confirmed address. please pm me with prices to the UK including postage and say if the discs are original, if not this should be reflected in the price.

there is no win 7 recovery media for T60, the first machine to have the win 7 was the T400/T500 series.
Current ThinkPad: T430u, T430s, X1 Carbon, X1, X230t, X220t, X230, X220, X201t, W520, W701ds, T500, T420 and many more

Assuming you will update the drivers, the R50, R51, T40, T41 & T42 can use the same recovery media. The same holds true for the R52 & T43.
Also, the disks made via the Lenovo create recovery media utiility work just as well and are more convenient, two disks versus several.

How do I get that utility? I clicked on the Create Recovery Media link in the Lenovo Toolbox or Lenovo Messenger (name?), but it took me to a broken Web link at ibm.com.underclocker wrote:Also, the disks made via the Lenovo create recovery media utiility work just as well and are more convenient, two disks versus several.
I have a ThinkPad R61 running Windows XP SP3.
