WTB: 1.8" SATA HDD (non-SSD)

#1 Post by Raceboy » Sun Nov 28, 2010 9:01 am

I need another 1.8" SATA hard drive for my friends X41 SATA-HDD mod.

Prefer non-SSD due to cost considerations, should be 5400 rpm/8MB cache at least.

I have verified Paypal and done business here many times, so please, do not hesitate to offer!

I think a 1.8" SATA SSD (Intel X18-M for example) is easier to find then a 1.8" SATA harddisk

Just my 2 cents ;)

They are available on eBay and I even got one locally si I think the availability is ok. I found few completed sales in our forum also.

I just hope to get one as cheap as possible.

Hmm these are the same drives in the T410s right? If anything I might be up to selling mine as i want to buy a OCZ Vertex 2 60GB but in the 1.8" size they are $200+ vs the cheaper 2.5" drives.

My drive is the Toshiba 250GB 5400RPM drive:

The cheapest seems to be $150 or so (EDIT - with the oddball $115 drive there now :D)

PM me an offer as i'm using it right now so i'd have to first move off my data to the server (that's why i don't ned 250GB in my laptop :D) and hopefully have the SSD come pretty fast from Newegg.com :D
