I purchased this earlier this year for a friend, but they decided they didn't need it-so it has been sitting here mostly unused for months.

Unit is in very nice physical shape-no major scratches or scuffs on the top cover, a little shine on the keyboard keys, very little wear on the palmrest. There are some slight scratches on the screen-I didn't look closely enough and thought the marks were just because the screen was dirty-my apologies on this. I tried to capture the scratches in the pictures that I just added. The screen hinge is working properly, and I replaced the screen latch a few months ago. Everything works fine, and the stylus and ac adapter are included.

The battery is an 8 cell aftermarket battery that does work and only has a few cycles, but one odd thing is that when charging the battery while using the laptop, there is a high pitched whine coming from the tablet. It hasn't caused any problems, and once it reaches full charge the noise stops. The issue does not occur when using an original IBM/Lenovo battery. Charge the battery with the laptop powered off and there is no noise.

I've had that noise while charging the battery of my old x41 when I lost my AC adapter and had to use one from an old T40 series. So that may be all it was. I think the voltage was different.

Anyway, good luck on the sale.

Well...considering I paid $2200 for my x41 new....$200 seems like quite a fair price from that perspective.

Thanks Daniel..I tend to think it is a very fair price also for an X41 tablet in nice condition with no issues. Guess I should maybe post a couple of pictures of it to prove it!
