SOLD ***X41 Tablet with UltraBase + 2 batteries + SSD?

#1 Post by RRHODY » Sun Dec 19, 2010 3:31 pm

Selling my lightly used X41 Tablet [graduated to the X61 Tablet]. It was primarily used as a GPS while traveling in a vehicle [nice size screen – not like Tom-Tom or other single use GPS]; then as an internet connection while in lodgings. It was also used occasionally as a DVD player in an airplane; the tablet configuration seems easier to deal with rather than the open lid of the normal laptop. All in all, I would guess it has been used for about eight trips in the past two years.

Lenovo/IBM X41 Tablet type1867-WFA S/N LVN7096

Original Description from Lenovo web site:

Product: ThinkPad X41 Tablet 1867-WFA
Operating system: All

Based on 1867-CTO: P M 778(1.6GHz)LV, 512MB RAM, 60GB 4200rpm HD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel 900, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 8c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Tablet 2005

Excellent condition with no cracks in the casing. The screen is bright and clean with no discernable dead pixels or blemishes. The keyboard has little or no shine or signs of heavy wear. Windows XP Professional Tablet version installed and comes with the stylus that works. Installed to a “From the factory” condition with R&R disks [nine CD set for sale separately $25.00], but no System updates or Windows Updates. It seemed best to let the new owner select what to load.

UPGRADED to 1GB RAM

Added 512MB Samsung M407T6464QZ3

Comes with two batteries:
4 cell 92P1083 is 1.9 Ah shows 12 cycles and full charge at 22.27 Wh in GREEN condition.
8 cell 92P1085 is 4.4 Ah shows 77 cycles and full charge at 55.53 Wh in GREEN condition.

Hard drive is a Hitachi HTC 426060G9AT00 60GB

UltraBase type 41V9185 in excellent condition, no key but unlocked; includes DVD-ROM 92P6579.

Another plus is an extra adapter to use a SD/SDHC SSD card in the hard drive location. The CF adapter fits into the Hard Drive and a CF card can substitute for the HD. There is also a second adapter that allows inserting an SD card into an adapter and then it becomes a CF card. No CF or SD/SDHC card included. Note: this was never used, but is supposed to allow using it as if the drive was a SSD [photo if needed].

In summary:

X41 Tablet with WinXP PC Tablet edition AND Stylus
UltraBase with DVD ROM
Two (2) batteries
SSD CF/SD/SDHC Adapter

Will accept the highest offer for all of the above [except R&R discs] that is over $200.00 tendered up to 12:00 Noon Pacific Standard Time December 23, 2010. Final price will include shipping by USPS in the flat rate box to any US ZIP Code. Please, US offers only [PayPal non-CC acceptable].

Seems like a nice tablet with some extras too....

Good luck,
Ron

PS.."Will accept the highest offer for all of the above [except R&R discs] that is over $200.00"

Is this an Ebay type auction or the actual sale price?
Have we changed procedure here on the Forum?
IBM Lenovo 100s 14" / T61 14.1sxga / X200 tablet / Microsoft Surface Pro 2 256GB / T61 wide and 15.4" and an iPad Air 2 and Ipad Mini 2....

This is not an auction. Make an offer - if it is the highest by noon 12/23, it is sold.
The idea is to accept offers but set a threshold ABOVE which the offer must be.
I will take $200.01 if that is the highest I get.

To mod
If this arrangement - setting a minimum for offers - somehow violates the rules, let me know. The notion was to let people know the LEAST I was willing to take. We've had posting that have set a price with "or make offer." I guess I could have posted an asking prices of "$500.00 or make me an offer."

When I saw this auction I took it to mean just what you stated, that you'll accept $200.01 as an offer and if you get no others it will sell for that. I have no problem with that. What you do via PM with offers or the sale is your business. What we won't allow is offers being made out on the open forum, or no asking / starting price. This is not the first time we've had something like this on the forum. We had one member reduce the price by a dollar every hour until an item sold. It kind of makes it fun for a change instead of the same ole....

Appreciate the OK to proceed.
Isn't $200.00 a fair price for this package, UltraBase, 2 batteries and SSD adapter?

Yes, a fair price.

Maybe it was the way you worded it originally. I wouldn't mind having a starting price and have a "silent" bidding war for whatever I was selling, but...............

Like I said, maybe it was the wording or just my interpretation of it....

Good luck with your tablet,
Ron

But isn't my "Best offer over $200.00" the same thing?
I'll take $200.01 or anything more by a stated time.
Gosh, communication is tough.
