LF: VERY clean 14" T43 lid/display assembly, 1400x1050

#1 Post by digitania » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:50 pm

I did a very stupid thing this evening and badly damaged my T43. It's my primary machine, and I need it functional, and I don't have a backup for it (I'm using my work machine to write this post).

Therefore, I am looking for complete lid assembly for a 14" T43 w/ the 1400x1050 display (FRU 13N7046 or equivalent). I'd prefer a very clean unit with no bezel cracks, etc. to match the condition of my T43, which is/was very clean (otherwise). I need it to have all three antennas, all wiring, etc. I also need whatever adapter the white wire attaches to, as that wire literally ripped out the point to which it was attached (and I can't find where that was!).

I'm willing to pay a reasonable premium for a nice assembly, and I need it quickly. Because of the damage done, I need the entire assembly, NOT just the display panel.

Please PM me with your asking price including shipping to 74012.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry can't help with a 14" lid but I can tell you where the white wire goes.

Near the rear left corner of the base, just in front of where the three wires exit the LCD lid, you'll see a small circuit board attached with two screws.
That is the Bluetooth/modem card. It has to be removed in order to replace the white cable.

Download a copy of the Hardware Maintenance Manual to see screw placement & how the wires are routed.

You may know this already, but you can use any 14" T4x lid and swap the clear plate on the LCD with your T43 plate.
