I have a thinkpad locked into it's doc and the keys have been lost. I went to I.T. Xchange and they have it for $18. Are there any cheaper options? Thanks in advance.

Give your key number, maybe someone has has the same and/or a spare and/or is willing to lend it to you for duplication...

According to I.T X, it's J99. Is that what's needed? (I don't have a key to look at and compare.)

Checked both of my docks, sorry no match. You have an advanced mini-dock correct?

If the label is still on the dock, you can find it by looking at at the pictures on this site: http://www.itxchange.com/itxchange/correlationNum.asp?

Label says A1997.

Checked my three ultrabase key numbers -- no match

I have 12x of those docks (anyone want to buy one) - 7x with keys. Of the keys, I don't have the A1999, J99 key. Sorry.

Great link, Ray. I'm keeping that one. But I did figure out the conversion scheme for the 2504 docks. A-annx means it uses key A-NN where a=1 is "J", a=2 is "K", a=3 is "L", a=4 is "M" .. and that's as far as I had.

For my 5x that don't have keys, I have two locked - key L64 and J41. The other three are M71, J76, K89. I'm not sure if it's worth the shipping and hassle to get copies made but if anyone has any of those five keys I mentioned, please let me know.

I also have an X6x ultrabase that's locked and has an optical in it that I can't get out. The key for it is H06 - in case anyone has that.

I checked 3 docks, no match. Sorry. Maybe they made a lot of key versions!

4 docks, none of them match the above.
