LF: 7200-rpm HD for T43 + advice

Advice part is whether to bother replacing the drive in there now. Already maxed RAM and upgraded to Win7 so now am teetering on the "fix it or upgrade" to get a few more productive months out of the reliable T43/2687.
Any thoughts or parts are appreciated - now using a 80gig 7200 Hitachi that is nearing capacity and old age.
PM, reply or email to dwallace-AT-deadlines-DOT-NET
Thanks
David

Samsung Spinpoint 5400RPM (but FAST!!!) 160GB IDE 2.5" 8MB cache HM160HC will be faster I think than even that 7200RPM drive you have in there now. Any other forum members wan to chime in on this?

Or, remove the SATA-PATA bridge and use e.g. a 500GB SATA drive, how does that grab you?

And don't forget to apply No-2010 ERROR BIOS patch

Samsung HM160HC is the fastest 2.5" 9mm ATA drive ever (60 - 70 MB/s real velocity).
