I'm also looking for an x200s. It must have the LED backlit 1440 x 900 display. I'm in California.

Admin note: Split from another LF thread

but is it for sale though?   this is the marketplace, not the "hey, let's brag about what we have" board. ;)

If you're like me then you own too many Thinkpads.... so sell me your x200s. You're gonna want the new x-series in a few months anyway. I'll sell a couple older Thinkpads in this marketplace soon after I find an x200s.

I may want to upgrade. What's the x200s specs are you looking for other than 1440x900?

The LED 1440 x 900 screen is really the only requirement I have. It should be in good physical condition. I'd like to buy one within the next month or so.

This is what I have:

74663GU
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... ry=74663GU

I replaced the hard disk with a Lenovo 128GB SSD from day 1 so the original 160GB hard disk has not been used at all.

I can sell with the original 160GB hard disk, which comes with Vista Business 32, or I can sell with the 128GB SSD or both. However, because of licensing (I put my own Win7 on it), the SSD will be wiped blank.

I have also bought a 6 cells battery. I have to look where I put the original 9 cells. Both are about 80% to 85% or design capacity. I do want to sell with both batteries if I find the 9 cells as I will have no use for the remaining battery after this computer.

Warranty until 12/21/2011 with Thinkpad Protection Service.

There is no physical damage anywhere on the computer but do have normal wear and tear for a 2+ year old daily used laptop.

If you like what you read here, let me know if you want it with or without the SSD and I will give you an asking price accordingly.

BTW, one month is about my time frame.

I use both the x200 and the x200s. The x200's screen resolution is good enough that I'm not persuaded it is worth it to spend hundreds more for an x200s.

high resolution and brightness are the two attributes I want so I think the x200s "outshines" in these regards.

I would also be very interested in an x61s with sxga+ mod if I can find one..... I've seen the thread on the mod and I may try it but I don't suppose anyone wants to part with one???
