I am selling my X301, which I purchased new a year and a half ago and has set on my desk from day one -- no travel, not even from room to room around the house. It gets only occasional use since I use my favorite X200 regularly on my lap for daily net surfing/email/etc.
This machine is near pristine condition. The screen is bright and clear, no marks, hot spots, or dead pixels -- the keyboard, trackpad and palmrest have near zero shine. I actually cannot see any shine, but since I have used this machine occasionally for over a year, it must show some wear -- I just can't see any. The lid is near perfect, but if you look carefully in bright light, you can see a tiny, extremely light scratch -- but no scratch is visible without putting the machine under bright light and careful examination -- very easy to miss, and again near perfect. The case lid, bezel and bottom have no cracks, scrapes, dings or marks. Very hard to tell this machine is not new.
This machine comes with two batteries -- one is the 4-cell travel battery (green 26.50 remaining out of 27.33 design capacity) -- the second is a 6-cell (green 44.10 out of 43.20 design capacity) --
Lenovo upgraded the machine to Windows 7 Professional by providing Upgrade Media with the original purchase, and these install disks will be included. I also created a set of restore disks, which I believe are for the original Vista Business (COA on bottom of machine) but I can't remember if I created for Vista or W7. The original Lenovo documents are included, but I don't have the original box.
This machine runs beautifully with W7 and the 128gb SSD and is hard to tell from a brand new machine, with warranty through May 2012. I have too many Thinkpads to keep up with. For someone who has been looking for an X301, you won't find a better machine or a better price.
