I bought this from the original owner who reported that it ran slowly. The original 40GB drive was defective. I replaced that drive and upgraded several components (see specifications below). The machine has 28 cycles on the original battery, no wear at all on it and only one or two barely detectable, small scuffs on the cover. The LCD is flawless. It looks new and was barely used. It comes with all the original packing, manuals and original ThinkPad box!

I've done a few battery run down cycles and the battery is still in excellent condition. This machine does not support Core Duo CPU upgrades, but I did upgrade the CPU to a faster Core Solo CPU. I also upgraded the hard disk, memory and optical drive. I tested it with both Win XP and Win 7 and it performed well with both. It comes with the factory WinXP Pro image (the WinXP Pro COA is on the bottom of the machine).

I know it has one speaker but if you plug in headphones is it stereo ? Also which intel wireless card does it have / Thanks.

That's a great question. I believe it is stereo. All the advanced volume control sliders under Windows include the option for left and right channels. In all the material I've seen, Lenovo made a point of noting the monophone mic and speaker, but there weren't any suggestions that the headphone jack was monophone. The motherboard has an HD audio chipset, so it certainly could be stereo, see info below from spec. sheet;
