no longer LF: simple SATA data cable

A friend got a new hard disk the other day, but does have a cable for it, and I don't have one to give! Actually, we found a four-inch long cable, but that is not enough. I must have like twenty PATA cables. haha

On eBay, I can find brand new cables for just two dollars shipped. But I would much rather have a used one (and it would be nice to find one nearby, it is silly to send such a common item over a long distance).

2011-03-25 edit:
I found a local seller on the Bay, and got some cables today. No longer looking.

Is a data cable the same as a cable/connector that comes with a USB HDD enclosure, which is used to connect an external HDD to the computer by USB? If it is, I can send you one.

No, not a USB cable. I am looking for a plain SATA data cable (as opposed to eSATA or a combined data/power connector). SATA cable connectors are L shaped with seven pins along one edge.

If you have one, check in the box that your (or e.g. your neighbor's) last desktop mobo came in.
There's usually a spare in it.

I already checked the motherboard box: no extras.

Get one yet? If not I have one. It's about 14-16 inches long.

Looks just like this one -

I'll be glad to give it to you free, just pay $1.50 for shipping.
