I have the 12.1" BOE-HYDIS LCD from an X41 tablet that I had salvaged with the hopes of installing it in an X41 non-tablet. I realised that the mounting would be too strenuous with the different cable and such and abandoned the idea - still, while testing it it looked nice and the screen was perfectly fine until I damaged the LCD cable I was using and didn't feel like bothering any more. I had clipped off the side-tabs from the tablet mount, so it's good to go in that regard. If you have an X3x series or an X40/X41 and more patience than me, this is good for you.

Asking for $60. Providing pictures will be difficult since the cable is damaged and I no longer have an X41.

Bump for this panel - it's an awesome mod, and pretty easy. No BIOS mod needed, and I didn't use a different cable, but flipped the original over, and trimmed the physical connector lock-out (for some reason the pinout is 100% reversed). It's not a drop-in replacement, but maybe a Hacker+ mod - some dremmel, some sticky-tape, some push-pulling, but not too hard for those mechanically inclined.
