I'm hoping to get a typing and mouse button feel similar to my t23. Please help. My fingers can't stand the pounding....

Yup, I want what you so precisely describe. A 14" one to be precise. Wish me luck....Johan wrote:You'll need to specify whether your T42 is a 14.1" or 15" model... the keyboards are different, in not interchangable. If you wish to search for a NMB keyboard yourself, see the FRU's ("Field Replacable Unit") numbers at Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p. Also, you may use one of the keyboards listed in Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T43/p or R50/p parts (if you have/need a 15" T42); see this post.
Finally, beware that NMB keyboards Made in Thailand by many ThinkPad'ers are more sought/preferred compared to NMB's Made in China; see e.g. the thread T42 Thai (NMB), China (Alps) Keyboard Impressons (long).
