Better yet, why not configure windows XP / 2000 to type spanish or matter of fact any foreign language.

You can google on instructions to how to set up Windows to type Spanish.

Just add English International to type Spanish. There is no need to swap keyboard to type in Spanish or any foreign language.

spanish has more characters than english..
at least one more and more than a few different..
like an upside down "?" is used before a question and a regular "?" after..
n with ~ over it is 'enye', pronunced en-yay..

the spanish keyboard is different, and is not confortable to use an english keyboard with a spanish map.

We have characters as ñ á é í ó ú ü

It is an idea

usually, i suggest buying in the target country (foreign language keyboards) as they are more readily available..
but
a spanish keyboard SHOULD be available in the USA..
because of the high incidence of spanish speakers here..

so select the thinkpad model and get the HMM and look up the FRU# and/or P/N and then check for availability in the USA by calling 800-388-7080.. :)

docume:

You can configure two or more languages on any Windows PC and learn where the other keys are by heart, like para español: ¿, ?, ¡, !, the accents and everything else, or download MS Visual Keyboard which puts a small keyboard on the screen that's always on top - whenever you want it. You can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

I've typed both English and Español for years, way before learning about Visual Keyboard and never felt the need or even desired a Spanish keyboard, and I do use all the accents and the Ñ of course. To switch keyboards (languages) Windows provides the default left Alt + Shift keystroke.

Hope it helps. :D
