For Sale:
US-Built Thinkpad R51 1830-BQU
1.6GHz Dothan
15" SXGA+ display (Flexview, apparently--my first/only experience with one...far nicer than the T60 display I'm used to)
1.5GB RAM
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
40GB Hard Drive
OEM Battery--74% original capacity, works great!
OEM AC Adapter
XP Pro COA intact--no recovery partition
Gigabit Ethernet and i1394 port (optional on R5x)
Condition: excellent display with no visible flaws and good brightness for age, shine-free keyboard, touchpad, and palmrest. No cracks/dents anywhere, good tight hinges, quiet fan, etc. Aside from some top cover scratches, this is about as good an SXGA+ R51 as you're likely to find. Build quality is excellent, as I'm told is usually the case with US-built R5x machines. Perfect working order--no GPU or Southbridge issues.
Background: I'd originally intended to keep this as a replacement for my T60p, but happily enough, the need for an interim replacement was short-lived
I am not the original owner; serial # lookup with Lenovo suggests it may have been a Lenovo/IBM internal-use machine.
This is a great workstation with a good battery still, but even if you just wanted it for parts, you'd be doing well, given the clean display, RAM, and perfect motherboard (do I smell T4x swap?). Feedback: Bought/sold here a couple times, and can provide eBay username with 68 positive/100% good feedback.
SOLD, thanks!
