Beautiful X200s, really sad to have to let it go but college text books are a killer....
Originally I had intended for this to be the replacement to my X60s. These are actually relatively rare machines (with the WXGA+ especially) so I searched for a while and then gave up and bought a regular X200. Of course, immediately after that, I found this machine, and now am just going back to my workhorse X60s
For those of you not familiar with the difference between the X200s vs X200, the X200s offered a few benefits which I saw as being key elements in what I was looking for. Namely:
-Lenovo's "new" glass/carbon fiber lid
-low voltage processor, great battery life
-VERY light (a tad over 2.5lbs with the 4 cell battery)
-WXGA+ LED screen (1440x900), fantastically large workspace for such a small machine
Here are the specs of my machine:
1.86ghz Intel L9400, 6mb cache
4gb DDR3
WXGA+ 1440x900 LED
160gb 7200rpm HDD
2gb Intel Turbo memory
Fingerprint reader
Bluetooth
Intel Wifi AGN 5100
Includes (all can be seen in included pictures):
Original box with all packaging, CDs, and paperwork
Genuine 9 cell extended battery - 42 cycles, "green" condition
Genuine 4 cell slimline battery - 327 cycles (still holds a decent charge), "green" condition
Depot warranty valid until 1/23/2012
>>Windows 7 Pro disc w/ packaging
>>MS Office 2010 Pro Suite Installed
Full MS Office 2010 Professional Suite
Vista Business COA on bottom
AC adapter
Extra trackpoint caps
OS info:
Little confusing here, the machine has a Vista business COA on the bottom, but was purchased with the 7 Pro upgrade from Lenovo. However, it had 7 Enterprise installed when I bought it (presumably because I bought it from a corporate environment), and I haven't had the time (or optical drive) to install 7 Pro from the disc.
Physically the machine looks great, some wear on the top lid but looks great overall. A little bit of wear on the keyboard/palmrest, but the keyboard works perfectly and the screen looks great (super bright!). The pictures should speak for themselves.
