SOLD to forum member: A complete, titanium cover Z61m with working motherboard and integrated webcam. This is a serious parts machine, please read ALL the details below.

The best thing I can say about this machine is that the motherboard works perfectly, as does the webcam. However, the BIOS is password protected so changes and updates to the BIOS are not permitted. I do not know the BIOS password. The power on password is not set.

Cosmetically, it looks pretty good. The titanium cover has a couple of minor dents/scratches and the clear coat is worn off, so smudges show, but can be cleaned off. The keyboard is shiny, but works perfectly and is the NMB (blue suction cup) variety. The upper keyboard bezel is excellent. The palmrest is in very good condition. The LCD is defective, the bottom 1/3rd is washed out. The plastic behind the left and right LCD bezel screws is damaged, so the left and right sides are not fully secured, but the LCD bezel looks good otherwise. The camera works perfectly. The hinges are in excellent condition. Other than the BIOS password, the motherboard works perfectly and the fan is quiet. The Celeron cpu actually seems fast w/Linux. The wifi works fine. The modem works fine. The CD drive works fine. The memory is fine. The hard disk has several bad sectors but did load Linux and boots quickly. The hard drive caddy and screws are all there, but only one (of two) rubber rails is included. The hard drive cover looks great. There do not appear to be any screws missing, inside or out. The base has a small crack near the battery. The 9 cell battery is defective - orange flashing light.

Many of the parts have been swapped, but many of those included are still quite good, please read all the details below.
