Anybody know of a source for a new X100e or X120e in heatwave red (and preferably dual-core CPU)?

Lenovo.com is out of stock on the X120e. I can find lots of new X100e/X120e elsewhere, but all I've found are black, not red.

Buy a black one, then respray the lid in a similar red, ~$5.- for a can of Krylon in a DIY shop.

Thanks for the DIY suggestion, but I'm looking for a NIB solution.

I have a red x100e (in my signature) which I ordered CTO from Lenovo just over a year ago -- I really like the little guy, but rarely use it -- it is mint/as new (although I did not renew the warranty when it expired in April) -- It has 4gb ram and 128gb ssd -- Not sure if you only want NIB, but pm me if you are interested

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry, I should have specified in the first post that this is for a gift, so I'm looking for NIB and still in warranty.

No worries -- You did specify NIB -- The "must have red" should have been a clue that it is for a gift -- good luck in your search

Yeah, that's the only one I've found anywhere on the web. Actually it says "Brand new, never opened", but still ... $530 for an X100e MV-40 w/ 1GB RAM and 160GB HDD?? I wasn't aware that these machines appreciated in value after they're purchased.

The only difference in the specs on my machine is the ram -- 1 gb / 3 gb (mine) -- If I remember correctly, my machine was around $550 a little over a year ago -- that included Lenovo's free shipping plus tax, and at the time the x100e was a new/hot little item -- the price has gone down considerably since. I noticed that Seller is an individual who doesn't sell much -- maybe if you emailed him an offer, he would accept it...

I noticed the price on eBay is all over the map, but again they were all color: black --

I usually watch for the best price and get a good deal somewhere on the net -- depends how much time you have to wait -- I enjoy 'window-shopping' around the net and will keep an eye out for the nib/red at a better price -- post back if you find one at a good price
