For sale: Month old T42 2378-FVU with 768MB of RAM!

Pefect condition, looks brand new, as it basically is.

No visible wear of any sort on the machine.

1.7GHz P-M
40GB 5400 RPM Hard drive
14.1" SXGA+ screen, 1400x1050 resolution
ATI Radeon 9600 Mobility 64MB
768MB RAM -> Upgraded with $100 stick of Corsair RAM!!
CDRW/DVD Combo drive.
Includes all manuals, I'll ship it in the same box, etc...I'll even send a set of recovery CD's I've made.

I also operate almost exclusively off A/C, so the battery is at 99% probably.

11 months remaining on the Think Express Warranty.

I'm asking $1500 shipped. This is $200+ less than I paid less than 3 weeks ago. I will also accept offers, however, I'm really thinking $1500 is a fair price.

As for the reason I'm selling this: I love the T42, but I've been using my friends Powerbook, and I think I'm going to give Apple a try.

Any questions email at rltelesca@gmail.com

I have 34 100% positive feedback on eBay, and if you'd rather do it that way, I can arrange it. I know some people feel more secure.

Thanks!

Ryan

If you bought it 3 weeks ago then you can return it to IBM for a full refund. Unless of course you bought it from somewhere else.

Yes, I bought it from newegg. Which is why I'm willing to take a loss and hopefully someone else can save some money.

You do realize it is only $1376 on the IBM credit card sites. Kind of tough to sell for more than new.

No, I did not know that. However, that does not include tax (making it ~$1500), shipping, or the $100 worth of RAM. This is still roughly $150 less than you'd pay on IBM.com. However, I said I would accept offers.

Well, I didn't really put it up to have the price critiqued. I said I'd accept offers, I don't know what else you people want.

I'm more than happy keeping it if I can't sell it.

Don't take it personally Ryan, we're actually trying to help, not just being critical.

Ryan T. I am not here to critique your price.

I think it may be a good idea if you edit your original post and update with a new price that you think you would sell it for given new information by previous posts.

I think that will help you get more responses from members here.
