Hi guys. My t42p 14" has apparently failed and the LCD is also getting dim. So, best option for me would be a stripped version of a P if anybody has one. I've got RAM, drives, wifi, PS and all the parts needed in spades, just need the base and LCD, or a base only in for the T42p or T43p 14".

I even have spare fans and CPUs, so if that keeps the price down...otherwise convenience is key.

I'm also interested in a 15" T4Xp base for future repair but need the 14" most.

Obviously need to keep the cost down or I'd just buy a complete one for the going $120 -$160 price I'm seeing.

My alternative is to go through the MB exchange...am considering that, but prefer to get a 14" base +LCD if you've got one to spare.

You can use any T4x base, doesn't have to be from a T4x/p model either.

I have a base from a 14.1" T41 in good condition, nothing broken or missing.
It consists of:
- base itself
- CD cage
- HD cage
- PCMCIA cage (flap is there in the base)
- metal wide strip along top of base
- DC-connector
- metal bar along left side
- VGA-port cable
- black plastic guide for antenna and modem wires (around RAM)
- NO SCREWS
Yours for $10.- + actual shipping.

Has it been as hot where you are as it has been in New York this past week?

I may have what you need- both items. With our without Keyboards?

Another question- are we talking about shipping to Mexico or are you still traveling the Southwest?

I thought only the T42P models hit 2.0GHZ and above speed, which is maybe what he's looking for. I may be able to spare a T42P base with beautiful screen at 2.0GHZ. Of course I have lots of T4X models starting at 1.5GHZ to 1.7GHZ, even a T43 at 1.86GHZ.

Thanks, but I guess I didn't make it clear, I need it with the system board and an ATI 64 or (much preferred) 128.

I'm in New Mexico this summer. Rainy season just started and it ranges from 90 down to 75 in the afternoon showers.

I'll email you. I don't care about which CPU much, I've got several spares up to 2.0. Need 'em with the ATI graphics mostly, and then the LCD might be nice. Don't need a Keyboard, but if it's no significant price difference, it wouldn''t hurt to have an extra.

Still looking. But just T42p, 14" especially, 15" also. System board, base or stripped, whatever is cheap and availible with 128MB graphics.
