Preference:Edge T520, min. requirements: Black, matte display, backlit keyboard, Core i5

About me:
I love Thinkpad (though I've only owned R400). Now, I wish to have another one. Unfortunately, sales services of Lenovo in India is more than pathetic (non responsive sales nos. & exclusive centres in medium sized cities).

So, I'd like to have a laptop delivered to me in India from abroad. In case anyone has an old thinkpad in a good condition, I may consider it too. Once decided, the laptop has to be shipped to Jamshedpur, India.

Buy a T520 with coupons and deliver it to you in india. This should be below 850 if you are lucky.

Well it seems plausible only if the entire cost (laptop cost+delivery) is around 1000$ or so. I don't seem to have an idea how much delivering that to india would cost as there may be taxes, courier charges involved.

Yea, there is Lenovo India but it's what you can call "outdated" which is selling T410. Moreover, they don't have any supply chain of their own neither they take prepaid orders like Dell (which uses third party; horrible customer support). We are left with exclusive stores where you'll only find Ideapads, and non responsive if asked for details regarding available thinkpads.

Edit: I just checked and they have updated their site. But the sales team as usual is non responsive. Anyways, thanks for the borderlinx link. It's seems a good business concept.

Best to buy online with coupons NEW or Buy from this Market..
Ship to a friend in the US.. Have him bring it to you when he comes down.

Or just use a third party shipping service like borderlinx (this is a DHL company).
