I'm currently looking for the stickers that cover up the screws on the keyboard on a 760 as well as the sticker that syas the ThinkPad model 760XD on it.

I also need a hard drive that's somewhere from 4gb to 12gb in capacity.

If anyone has any of these parts and are willing to part with them, leave a replay or PM me and we could work out some sort of trade.

I am new here and saw your post. Just purchased a 760E off Ebay for my mother in law and need some kind of manual for her. If you know where I can get one I would appreciate a heads up. Do you like your 760E? Can you attach a mouse to the unit? Can you tell this is the first laptop I have ever seen? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I like my 760E. Real reliable. It was a real bugger to set up at first, but she runs great now. Yes, you can use a mouse on one, either a PS/2 mouse hooked into the side or a serial mouse hooked into the back. As for a manual, check your e-mailbox.

Oh yeah, one thing about the 760 series is that because of the hardware in it and the way IBM did their drivers, it's usually a good idea to make sure you have at least 32mb RAM in the system. It's not needed, but it helps.
