Well, this system is literally collecting dust. I don't have a use for it so, sadly I must part with it. It's a great little laptop, very thin and light without the ultrabase of course.
I've done a few upgrades to the system, specs below.
PIII 500mhz Motherboard was replaced after I toasted the original.
320MB RAM Onboard 64MB + 256MB Low Density SoDIMM
60GB 5400RPM HDD
Broadcom 802.11g MiniPCI wireless & antenna.
13.1" XGA LCD
Ultrabase with Floppy drive and 24x CD-ROM drive.
72w AC Adapter
The LCD is very bright for its age. No physical blemishes but there is a shadow on the left hand side of the panel. Not sure what caused it, but it doesn't affect anything. The display hinges have also been replaced with new ones since the original ones couldn't hold the panel up. The usual marks/scuffs for a system of its age, mostly on the bottom of the laptop. I did kill the original motherboard while installing the wireless antenna. Replacement board works perfectly fine. The 56k modem was removed along with the RJ-11 jack and replaced with a MiniPCI 802.11g wireless card & wireless antenna. Signal strength is good, I was able to get a perfectly usable signal in my basement with my router being on the opposite side of the house three floors up. The ultrabase has a floppy drive and 24x CD-ROM drive. A bearing has come out of the spindle in the optical drive so it makes a bit of noise while spinning up. Works just fine though. The battery is nearly toast. Maybe 30 minutes of runtime, haven't tested it for an accurate time though. Doesn't come with a copy of Windows, currently has an alpha release of Haiku on it. I can blank the drive if you want.
