I just bought a Ultimate-N 6300 Wi Fi card on ebay for my T420S and I get the 1802: unauthorized network card error. It seems like we need a bios hack to bypass the WiFi whitelist. Do you have any more info?

NO hack, NO ultimate/advanced Intel wifi 6300N/6200N card.
Look on the web for Middleton BIOS.

Still need one.
I also read on different sites from people buying the 6300's from China with Lenovo on them and still get the bios error.
My friend wants to avoid and fooling around with the bios so he is looking for the real Lenovo Intel 6300 wi fi card. And don't mind paying a fair price for it.

I bought a Lenovo branded 6300 for my T410s on eBay shipped from the US from this seller:

http://myworld.ebay.ca/jhetech*com/

It was a new Lenovo card with no BIOS modifications required. They sell both Lenovo and non-Lenovo cards so if you do decide to buy get the right one. It was $50 shipped to Canada. Not as cheap as the $25 China cards, but I think it is still reasonable considering a generic non-Lenovo Intel 6300 costs something like $40 + shipping and tax on NCIX and Newegg.
