Silverlight Update KB2668562 from Windows Update fails

I installed the monthly allotment of Windows Updates today and Silverlight Update KB2668562 failed. Turns out there is an error in the update and a replacement update will be forthcoming soon. See link below for more info.

More was posted to that thread since I initially linked to it. Apparently the update installs correctly, but gives an erroneous error message that it did not. The update was pulled to correct this flaw and a newer update is coming out for those that haven't updated yet. At least this is my current understanding.

I ran into the same problem with XP, Vista and 7. When the update had failed I noticed that my installed versions of Silverlight were still 4.xx. I just went to the link below and updated Silverlight to the latest version which resolved any problems.
