Shipping Question

#1 Post by ntoly » Tue Jun 15, 2004 6:53 pm

I ordered a T42 directly from IBM on June 10, and was told to expect shipping in 2 - 3 weeks (even though the "order status" read July 5). Delightfully, I received an email today telling me my order shipped. However, when I tracked the package (UPS 2 Day from Hong Kong), it said it was going with 51 other packages to Augusta, SC, but I live in Newtown Square, PA. Is that normal? Do you think these 52 packages are going to SC and then being sent to their respective destinations? Or is there a problem here? If you think it's a problem, do you think a) IBM has shipped my order to the wrong person, b) IBM is not linking to the correct tracking number, or c) other (if other, please share)? Should I call IBM? (I've tried UPS - no dice, especially since I don't live at the address that corresponds to the tracking number). I'm just curious (and anxious to get the computer, as my old laptop is giving me fits.

Thanks,
Noah

Don't worry. It's completely normal. It has to go through customs. It usually takes two, three days, then they ship it to you within a day (max two).
