How to scroll on a touchpad?

Hello,

I have never used the touchpad. Had a T43 for 5.5 years and an Edge for a year and T420 comes tomorrow. There are tons of posts on how to disable it the touchpad but I wanted to know how to use it. How does one scroll on a touchpad?
My sister was given a Thinkpad for work and she hates the trackpoint and loves a touchpad. SHe does not know how to scroll on a Thinkpad but can on her personal Sony. Apparently it is not intuitive.

Check the touchpad settings in Control Panel, either in its own entry or under Mouse.
Usually, it's either the right edge or two-finger scrolling.
