lenovo batteries

#1 Post by zenlunatic » Tue Aug 21, 2012 10:43 pm

If I order this battery, can I be assured it hasn't been sitting around for months/years? For $180 I would like to make sure.

I think only Lenovo can answer that. If it's a battery that is sold in volume, then maybe.

My experience was that I usually get a battery that's a few months old (2-8). But that's when ordering by FRU number from IBM service parts, as I never tried going through Lenovo sales.

The worst part is though you don't know which manufacturer you'll end up with (Sanyo/Sony/Panasonic). And this is likely to have a much higher effect on longevity than how many months the battery has been sitting on a shelf...
