Order Fiasco!!

Here's my story.... I ordered a T440s and really meant to order a T440p, as soon as I hit the order button I realized my error..Went to Lenovo Web site and chatted with a rep who said that cancelling would not be a problem and he would take care of it.. So went out to dinner and when we returned a few hours later had an email cancellation notice invoice style stating each item was indeed cancelled and they would not ship and credit card would not be charged.........so I configured the one I wanted with confidence placed the order,,, fast forward three days and get a delivery from the big brown truck.....two boxes with a docking port in each with corresponding order numbers....so I then call CS and they say oops and that the laptop is still released to manufacturing ( still in China )... Yesterday I get an email stating a shipping label has been created, I call CS again and am told sorry but now you will have to sign and accept package, then call for a RMA# for a return to guarantee proper credit return...The 2nd one I ordered will be here tomorrow and the one I cancelled won't be here until the 29th... All the reps I spoke with were extremely nice and just doing their jobs... I know it will all work out, this was just a long rambling rant................ :eek:

Very interesting!

So... they still ended up producing the unit you didn't want, and charging your account? Or they just waiting to get it back, so they don't have to charge your account?

That's quite the situation though. Lenovo still went through and berthed a T440s to your tailor, and it will eventually end up on your doorstep, just like the baby in the basket with the ribbon-decorated note. A T440s has been made for you, but must go back to the source. Sad days. :lol:

But I really hope the T440p you receive serves you well... There's been numerous problems with the Haswell Thinkpads, so don't hesitate to get on the phone with Lenovo if you encounter the smallest issue. Seems you've already got a pretty good phone experience with them, so that's pretty cool.
Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...

Yes, my account has been charged and as of right now it is likely still in Hong Kong, expected delivery on the 29th... The t440p will be delivered this Monday....
Thinking I might just write Lenovo a thank you note for an early BD present... :banana:

Finally resolved..........Was just so time consuming getting to the end...Like pulling teeth :bow:
Really enjoying the T440p, it is different no doubt about that, but not in a negative way....at least for me.....
