135w vs 90w brick

#1 Post by mrbjr » Wed Apr 30, 2014 12:56 pm

Just got a T440P and a docking station... The t440 shipped with the 135 w and the dock with the 90w, is there any advantage to using one over the other when connected to the dock (90% of the time )? :help:

Thanks

Typically the power supply to the dock is the higher power one as docks tend to have lot more accessories attached to it than a stand alone unit. I'd permanently hook the 135W to the dock and travel around with the 90.

The reason the notebook came with a 135W adapter is, that it might draw more than 90W. Therefore, i suggest you use the 135W adapter also when travelling.
