Which TPs would this RAM work in, is there a RAM lookup resource?
I pulled some old RAM, 4 x 1GB of pc2 5300s, out of a non-Thinkpad laptop. These are called SODIMM, I believe.
2 sets are labelled 2RX8 pc2 5300s 555 12 F1 667 (Is this 667 MHZ?)
2 sets are labelled 2Rx8 pc2 5300s 555 12 E3 (555 MHZ?)
Is there any way to tell which Thinkpads these would work in? Some reference online, or a chart, or anything?
I heard they would work in T60, T61?
If I have some TPs they would work in, and I have the need, I'll keep them, if not I'll sell if someone here needs them.

They'll work in all T43/R52/X41, T60/R60/X60, T61/R61/X61, X300 and Z60/Z61 models.
There will also be several Lenovo 3000 and Ideapad machines that can use them, but nobody here cares much for those.
Any older or newer Thinkpads use other RAM modules.
You'd probably need to memorize things like this, never heard of such a table.

PC2-5300 is 667 MHz. The 555 is the timing.Dos3.1 wrote:I pulled some old RAM, 4 x 1GB of pc2 5300s, out of a non-Thinkpad laptop. These are called SODIMM, I believe.

@DOS3.1 Hope you come back to find this: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd012623 (Lenovo Memory Compatibility)
Note that these are minimum factory suggestions as to the speed that each system can handle. Generally you can substitute faster modules but they will run at the slower system speed.
