T470 is TP00088A, A475 is TP00088B...so it looks like its indeed a AMD based T470.

I'm quite excited for Ryzen laptops. But I'm not sure if it can live up to the A31p hype.

Great news for AMD, Ryzen is a promising architecture and it's nice to see it land on laptops.

But as far as TPs go, as long as there's no proper keyboard available, I'm afraid it won't change anything for us Chicklet-Negative Thinkpadders.

Why not keep the *XX5 naming scheme of the E-series, eg. E440 for Intel, E445 for AMD. The confusion is spreading.

Sorry for bumping, but it seems that (so far) they're going to have Bristol Ridge, not Raven Ridge. (AKA, Construction cores instead of Zen.) Basically, terrible awful no good CPUs.

From what I read there will be one based on T series and one based on X series, A475 and A275 IIRC. I think they want to really emphasize the usage of AMD platform in a way of making a whole new series for that.

Any links to the A275/A475 having Bristol ridge as i can't find any that don't talk about Ryzen. Plenty about the E series laptops though.

What's bad about Bristol Ridge?

It's not Ryzen-based. It has Excavator cores, which is the last revision of the older Bulldozer CPU architecture.
