Anyone Ever Removed the Dark Spots that stickers Leave Behind????
Title explains it pretty much. Would like to find a way to clean up those darker spots that stickers leave behind when you peel them off!

Ok, get 2 alcohol pads. Rub firmly in an area about 1/6th of the lid. 2 pads will be required. When done applying alcohol to 1/6th of the lid, rub in circles with a crumpled up MICROFIBER cloth.Alexanders wrote:Title explains it pretty much. The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Once you've removed the glue, it'll blend back in itself before long. It's just that the plastic is a little fresher under the stickers. I did it with one of my machines about 3-4 weeks ago (I don't use it that much) and the mark is almost impossible to see now.

My solution takes about 5 min and removes light scratches on the lid.
Also, forgot to tell you but press firmly with the microfiber cloth.

WD40, leave it on for 2 minutes, it melts sticker goo, and then you can scrape it off with a spudger. Then wipe with an alcohol wipe. Usually works the same with the dark sticky residue mark. Man I hate stickers on notebooks!
