Spyworld Revealed: almost every Intel CPU runs MINIX
More proof that Intel is spying on us!
Read for yourself: MINIX: Intel's hidden in-chip operating system

Re: Spyworld Revealed: almost every Intel CPU runs MINIX
darn. I had no idea this embedded OS inside Intel CPUs could be so resourceful and resistant. That's indeed scary
Re: Spyworld Revealed: almost every Intel CPU runs MINIX
Interesting.
Also all mobiles have baseband processors (such as Qualcomm) that run a separate Operating System (AMSS?) to handle the calls... allegedly these have embedded code to allow spying - calling in silently and activating features on the phone as well as privileged access.
The AMSS baseband code itself is extremely confidential and nobody outside of Qualcomm seems to know what it fully does.... but it runs on Billions of devices!
I was going to use IDA Pro with a plugin and slog my way through some of it... had a brief look but didn't have time to go further... would be a full-time (and very difficult) job to reverse engineer!

Yes we like to think we are secure and in control of our systems but the reality is quite different.
Unfortunately we need to realise we are being watched and analysed and someone else owns the master key to our systems.

That's scary. Even scarier that there is nothing you can do about it other than unplugging the internet.

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Re: Spyworld Revealed: almost every Intel CPU runs MINIX
lol in this Times who is not spy at us?
Re: Spyworld Revealed: almost every Intel CPU runs MINIX
Yeah, you know how there are about 100,000 people working at Intel? Well, only ~20,000 of them are actually engineers. The other ~80,000 spend 9 hours a day minus lunch looking at and analyzing all the surveillance data their "MINIX" has obtained on all of us. Shocking! Terrifying!
