Possible purchase in Ireland

#1 Post by RRHODY » Sat Mar 17, 2018 12:23 pm

I have a grandson getting his PhD at Trinity in Dublin. He is devoted to Lenovo/IBM having received units from me while in the States. He is interested in a laptop, but shipping from USA is problematic [i.e. battery]. Is there anyone in Ireland or UK that might have a used X?? willing to sell? Grandpa pays, grandson gets. I offered him my backup T420s but shipping even without the battery is expensive; besides he's interested in something lighter. He has access to desktop units in his research lab so power is not so important.

You are a kind grandfather and I'm sure he appreciates / will appreciate the care and thought you put into using a touch of globalization.

However, before much further help other than an abundance of well-wishes can be shared, we should know what sort of IBM/Lenovo models your grandson is interested in? X2(2/3)x or perhaps something a bit older X4X or X2X or X6X or even X2(5-8)x?

I hope he has all the best at University.

You may be right, we're still trying to fix his exact location. We think his "flat" is on the north side of the river and west of Trinity. He's only been there a couple of weeks and his time has been taken with orientation; although he did go pub crawling with his "flatmates."
