Is it possible to use Thinkpad vga video output port for input?

#1 Post by zerotetration » Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:02 am

Is there an adapter I can buy / build to use my Thinkpad X61 display (while still installed in the machine) as a general display? I want to be able to input the video signal from another machine and have it display on the Thinkpad screen so I can avoid purchasing an LCD monitor. Also, my X60 is lighter weight / more transportable than a full size monitor. I have a bunch of machines I need to configure but no monitor at this time.

Many years ago there was Maxivista. https://www.techworld.com/download/syst ... t-3213988/
I've never tried it but experiment at your own risk.
